Indiana LLC cost in 2026
What Indiana charges to form an LLC, what Form Indiana charges, and how biennial reports and registered agent renewals add up — with state fees listed separately.

01State costs you cannot avoid
Indiana’s online Articles of Organization filing is commonly about $95 (verify on the INBiz fee calculator — card processing can add a small surcharge). A registered agent with a physical Indiana street address is required continuously. The Business Entity Report is generally due every two years at about $32 online for most for-profit entities.
02Form Indiana service fees (catalog)
LLC formation is $149 plus the $95 state allocation and includes Articles prep/filing, the guided operating agreement builder, and the first year of registered agent service. Standalone registered agent is $49/year. Business Entity Report help is $49 plus the $32 state fee. Optional EIN assistance is $75 — the IRS still issues EINs for free. An operating agreement alone is $29 and is included with formation.
03Year one vs later years
With Form Indiana formation, year one is $149 + $95. After the included agent year, renewals are $49/year only if you opt in. Compare national services carefully: many advertise a cheap first year and a much higher registered-agent renewal. We show renewals on pricing and checkout, and formation’s first year does not silently enroll you.
04DIY through INBiz
You can file yourself at INBiz, serve as your own eligible agent if rules allow, and apply for an EIN at IRS.gov for free. A service is optional. Tradeoffs are time, a public home address in the agent field, and tracking the biennial report yourself.
05What we do not claim
We do not provide attorney services, guarantee state approval timing, invent review counts, or promise blanket address privacy. Principal office and organizer details may still appear in public records even when you use a commercial agent.
FAQ
- Is the $95 state fee the total cost of an Indiana LLC?
- No. About $95 is the common online Articles of Organization allocation through INBiz. A filing service, registered agent, EIN help, and later Business Entity Reports are separate. Confirm current fees on the INBiz fee calculator before you file.
- Do I need a lawyer to form an Indiana LLC?
- Many people form a simple single-member LLC without one. Complex ownership, regulated industries, or tax elections may need a licensed attorney or CPA. Form Indiana prepares filings and provides registered agent service; we are not a law firm.
- Does formation auto-renew the registered agent?
- No. Formation includes the first year of agent coverage. Continuing coverage is an explicit customer choice at $49/year. Canceling billing later does not appoint a replacement agent by itself.
- Does Indiana require an annual report every year?
- Most Indiana LLCs file a Business Entity Report every two years (biennial), not every year. Searchers often say “annual report.” Check your entity’s deadline on the INBiz business record.
